CNC Milling II

Certification Class: Basic CNC Mill
Prerequisites: CNC Milling I Requirements: Closed toed shoes, long pants. Ages 18yr+ or 15-17yr with registered guardian.

This class is an extension of CNC Milling I and focuses on more advanced machining techniques. Students will use Visual CAM software to create more complex tooling paths of an approved part model. The student will learn proper technique for raw material alignment and tool indexing on the level 2 VMC. This class is a certification class required to use the level 2 Vertical Machining Center (VMC).

Prerequisites: CNC Milling II
Requirements: Closed toed shoes, long pants. Ages 18yr+ or 15-17yr with registered guardian.

This class is an extension of CNC Milling II and focuses on strictly advanced machining techniques. Students will receive mentoring on advanced CAM techniques on their own part design or a pre-chosen complex part. The student will learn techniques for machining harder materials, creating features on multiple sides, contouring, use of complex tool shapes and other advanced methods.

CNC Router Table I

Requirements: Closed toed shoes, long pants. Ages 18yr+ or 15-17yr with registered guardian.

This class focuses on the basics of CNC router use. Students will receive basic instruction on router table practice. Using SolidWorks CAM software and the router table the student will learn the fundamentals of how to setup the machine and make a simple pre-chosen part. This class is a certification class required to use the router table.

CNC Router Table II (3D Contouring)

Length: 4 hrs
Prerequisites: CNC Router Table II
Requirements: Closed toed shoes, long pants. Ages 18yr+ or 15-17yr with registered guardian.

This class focuses on more advanced use of the CNC router. Students will receive instruction on 3D profiling. Using SolidWorks CAM software and the router table the student will learn how to create 3D forms.

CNC Turning I

Price: $100
Length: 4 hrs
Certification Class: Turning Center
Requirements: Closed toed shoes, long pants. Ages 18yr+ or 15-17yr with registered guardian.

This class focuses on the basics of CNC Lathe use. Students will receive basic instruction on machining practice. Using Visual Turn CAM software and a Turning Center the student will learn the fundamentals of how to setup the machine and make a simple part. This class is a certification class required to use the Turning Center.
