TIG Welding I (Carbon Steel)

Length: 3 hrs
Certification Class: TIG I
Requirements: Closed toed shoes, long pants (natural fibers). Ages 18yr+ or 15-17yr with registered guardian.

Students will learn the fundamentals of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding otherwise known as Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. TIG welding can be used to create very strong high quality welds. The process is much more clean than standard arc or MIG welding. The student will learn and practice the process of making simple TIG welds on steel plate and channel.

TIG Welding II (Stainless Steel)

Length: 3 hrs
Prerequisites: TIG Welding I (Carbon Steel)
Requirements: Closed toed shoes, long pants (natural fibers). Ages 18yr+ or 15-17yr with registered guardian.

Students will learn to advance their skills in TIG welding by welding Stainless Steel. TIG welding can be used to create very strong high quality welds. The process is much more clean than standard arc or MIG welding. The student will learn and practice the process of making TIG welds on stainless steel. During the class the student will learn setup and purging required to make stainless welds.

Length: 3 hrs
Prerequisites: TIG Welding I & II (Aluminum)
Requirements: Closed toed shoes, long pants (natural fibers). Ages 18yr+ or 15-17yr with registered guardian.

Students will learn to advance their skills in TIG welding by welding Aluminum. TIG welding can be used to create very strong high quality welds. The process is much more clean than MIG welding. The student will learn and practice the process of making TIG welds on aluminum alloys. During the class the student will learn the setup and technique required to make aluminum welds.
